Did you know about the other "flibbetycues"?

I think it's Peterson Toscano who says that he likes to call the "FLGBTQC" the flibbetycues (or something like that) because the actual acronym is so awkward. He was talking, of course, about the "Friends for Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender and Queer Concerns".

How many people know that "FLGBTQC" could also be the acronym of another group, one that might have a surprising amount of overlap with the one that Peterson refers to. What group is that? "Fun Loving Gregarious Bible Toting Quaker Christians". What else?

FlibityJibitz actually. I first heard this from a lesbian Friend in North Carolina during the FLGBTQC Mid-Winder Gathering. Now I know that the Friends for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Concerns spent a lot of time and process on coming up with a name, so I don't mean to make fun or anything. FlibityJibtz just rolls off the tongue nicely. As a Christian who is also Quaker AND Queer, I love that FLGBTQC can be expanded to include that Christian Bible loving side of me :-D

Flibityjibitz, Flibitycues. What's in a name?
Good to hear from you Peterson.

In faithfulness to the acronym, I'd opt for fligibitycukes.
