I can't say I'm a blogger, although I do like to share thoughts and it helps me to look back at myself and see where I am. It's been a long journey and sometimes difficult, but at the same time beautiful. I won't digress over the past as this has gone and there is a need to be looking forward, taking good experience from what has gone before.

Yesterday I went to my first meeting, at last! I say first as I did go a few years ago when I was back in England, although I don't count that as I was going through 'changes'! Yesterday was a long time coming and took quite a bit of determination and thought over a long period of time, but I got there in the end.

What a relief it was to be able to be in peace with others, to share time with God listening and waiting. Although there was only a few Quakers I felt quite at ease, although it took a little time to calm down inside and relax! A very welcoming experience in a beautiful location, this Quaker meeting house was originally built in 1799 and I got a sense of it's history in a light and airy meeting room.

I don't want to put too many demands on myself at the moment, I want everything to be led naturally by God and by his will. This is a huge statement for me and one I've only recently come to terms with. And this is it, learning to be in the presence of God and reflecting out as hopefully the peace will reflect inwards.

Exciting times, but gently it goes.
