ESR graduate Scot Miller is currently working to complete a Doctorate of Ministry at Western Theological Seminary. This is the first of a series of essays that are meant to contribute to that project.

In the 21^st Century, militarism is often considered noble, especially when it is undertaken in defense of innocents.
