Primitive Christianity Revived, Again
Years ago a fire destroyed my collection of books, videos and documents, some rare, and some historical, and all centered on the theme of Intentional Community. Since then I have been rebuilding that library and my Religious Society of Friends library. Of course, many artifacts regarding Intentional Community are safely in the care of The Communal Studies Association and various museums. And there is no worry about the vast collections of Quaker material, safely guarded in the libraries of Quaker colleges and elsewhere. However, although my collection isn't likely valuable, some of it is quirky and unusual. Some of the books aren't unusual or forgotten, but neither is a Seeker likely to come across them browsing in a library or book store too often. So I decided, to try and share excerpts and readings online from my collection by reading from them. My first effort needs some editing, and my granddaughter is helping me with the technology, but I have posted it here as I can't think of too many places where a Grandmother reading from Rufus Jones is going to get even a glance. The purpose of reading these books is not to get involved in an intellectual argument about the position of the various writers, it is simply to share from my collection, and people can take what they want from my efforts.
