About Me
I'm a fifty-ish divorced, plain, mother of five. I live in New Hampshire. I thought I was on the road to becoming Mennonite, but I seem to have come to a fork in the road, leading me (and my 13yr old daughter) to look closer at Quakers.

Good morning, Friend Tina.  Thank you for your kind words about my blog.  It is going to be a beautiful First Day here in Northern Illinois but also a challenging one for my meeting in Beloit, Wisconsin.  The host of our meeting for nearly 40 years died this past week at age 85.  His daughter is our Clerk and will open his house for us at the usual time later this morning, but we will all be missing him.  Please hold the Beloit Montly Meeting in the LIght this day and especially Steve and Kathy Crom, Scott's surviving children.  I look forward to learning more about you, Friend. - Michael

Hello Friend Tina!

Thank you so much for accepting my invitation! I am so happy to have thee for my friend! I anticipate getting acquainted with you in the near future. My husband Timothy helped me to join this site. I am very dumb when it comes to electronics!

I am glad you like my cap. However, I didn't make it. We ordered it, since I never was good at sewing or needlework. If you're ever interested in one I can tell you where to order it from.

What are your hobbies? I know you are skilled at sewing. Do you enjoy reading? My favourite hobbies include books—reading and writing fiction and poetry. I do homeschooling to our daughter and only child, which keeps me busy along with housekeeping and cooking, etc. Also, I adore cats and enjoy playing hymns and classical music on the piano.

I would be interested in hearing more from you as time affords.

Blessings to thee this day!

Hilda

I purchased the outfit in my picture from http://www.plainlydressed.com/cart/, their stuff is very good, but a bit slow to come in the mail...although I am in Canada, so maybe its just me :) I do recommend them. This site also looks good to me, I haven't ordered from them yet, but I may soon. http://www.gracefulthreads.com/customwomen.htm

I sew, but not well enough for my own liking I'm afraid...

Thank you Tina for your kind words and Welcome to you.  I'm glad you find my words of benefit.  All the plain sects offer tremendous beauty, peace and simplicity in life.  Whever you feel most comfortable is 'home'.  I know wonderful Mennonite people also. .  and see much beauty in their belief system as well.

Thank you for the Friend invite. . I accept most graciously . .

Dear one, as a mother of five you must have your hands beyond full.  Whenever possible though I look forward to speaking with you.  I have no children, only pet kids but otherwise we have much in common.

Have a lovely day; many blessings to you.  Know in your heart that you will find your way, one step at a time, as we all do.

Chris .

Hello, Tina!

I am humbled to learn that you found something good on our page! For that I give thanks to the Almighty Lord God! I'm glad you like the pictures. I was thinking on adding some more, but I have been busy with many irons in the fire, so to speak. I also, look forward to getting to know you better as well.

From your profile, it sounds like a lot of things, both good and ill, have taken place. I trust you will find God to be Faithful. Able to meet the need of your (or my own) condition!

Dankeschön meine Freundin! "Thank you, my Friend!" Peace and blessing be to thee and thy household!

Timothy
