I am a 62 yr.old, s/w/f. Growing up I attended the Presbyterian Church, then later The Episcopal Church. I've not been attending church per se for more than 20 yrs., but considered myself 'the same' just not interested in 'organized religion' or 'the church as it was'. Slowly, after much study, research, etc., I saw myself as an Atheist. After a while, that left me a bit cold, empty, etc. though all I'd learned pointed that way. During my adult life I have been 'interested' in the Quaker way of 'worship' and have had a few Quaker friends. I am very interested in learning more and may decide to attend a meeting here. I have 2 grown daughters and 4 granddaughters. There has been much turmoil, to say the very least, over the years with my older daughter. My father committed suicide when he was 39 and I was 21. I have family here in Wilmington and just moved back here about 3 weeks ago. I lived here for about a year during my 11th yr. of high school. Most of my life has been spent in Winchester,
VA. This short 'sketch' is being to ramble!
