I have been a Wilburite Friend for approximately 30 years. I adhere to the teachings of John Wilbur who emphasized the Inner Light and nonconformity. I am not a "pacifist," but a "nonresistor." I try to be humble at all times. I use simple names of address (basically, I call everyone by their first name); wear plain clothes in traditional manner at times, but wear inexpensive modern plain clothes at all times; I will not swear/affirm or take ANY oath in ANY form; I believe in never giving "hat honor"; etc. I follow the "simple" life while keeping abreast of technology. This is a small tidbit of the beliefs I follow.
I have been an academic writer for some time. I publish in the areas of Anthropology, Sociology, Ethnic Studies, Psychology, and History. My writings generally cover three or more of these fields at one time. My articles have been published in: the Journal of Deviant Behavior, Ethnic Studies Review; Heritage of the Great Plains, etc.
