About Me
I am a freelance journalist and filmmaker currently at work on a documentary about a group of Quakers who left the US in 1950 bound for Costa Rica in protest of US militarism. I am a former Scripps Fellow at the University of Colorado, Boulder, a former editor at France 24, a CNN-style news network based in Paris, and producer/writer/reporter of American Jihadist, an award-winning documentary on an American Muslim who fought for Islam. I have also been a long-time print journalist for numberous newspapers and magazines.
