Hello Harry,

I'm holding your curiosity and willingness to discover Isaac Penington in the Light. May your journey with Penington awaken or strengthen the manifestation of the true Principle within you. I suggest you spend at least two years in Penington before venturing into anything other people say about him. It is a blessing that so much of his writings are available directly so that we do not have to depend on what others say about him. 

I prefer the Google facsimiles. You may download them to your devices and read them offline. I remember some of my first literary conversations with Penington many many years ago tucked away in in a cubby hole in the University of Michigan's law library. He is a colleague in life.
