- In my 60s, I have been a Friend for over 40 years, joining while a teacher at Friends School Saffron Walden. I am currently working twice a year in Rwanda as a volunteer with the African Great Lakes Initiative of Friends Peace Teams, teaching small scale sustainable vegetable growing to groups associated with the Evangelical Friends Church of Rwanda.
