Hi Claudia! That's a good question! My coat is one I bought from Winners years ago, but it works really well. The best thing to look for is a coat that's very well lined. Mine has a fleece lining in the bodice and quilting in the sleeves. The outer shell is corduroy. It is very warm. On the coldest days I wear a black zip up hoodie under it. For keeping legs warm, I wear black dance tights under black leggings. I buy Bloch dance tights because they are designed to keep your muscles warm, are a bit thicker and better made than regular tights. The leggings I got from Garage clothing store. They are a slightly thicker material than most of the leggings out there. I don't know if they still carry them, but that combo, with long wool knee socks keeps out everything, I hardly ever feel the cold. This year I saved and bought beaver lined mitts from a local guy, now I'm very well insulated! I replace my kapp in the winter with a wool kerchief. Here are some pics of my coat:
