This hand-out quotes several Quakers -- well-known and not -- who touch on the issue of equality, particularly in terms of race. I assembled these and talked about them briefly to illustrate how important this issue has been to Quakers since our origins and how our faith-in-action has evolved. The second page of the hand-out has some stats from the 2008 American Community Survey in St. Louis (where the discussion took place), which clearly point out that we have not even come close to our goal of equality.
Faith and Racial Equality, Feb 2010 handout.pdfI would value feedback and ideas. Peace, Blair
