Radnor Monthly Meeting is looking for two teachers to work with children and youthto teach within our First Day School program.

These teachers will work cooperativelywith volunteers from the meeting. This position is for two hours per week, from 9:45am to 11:45 am every Sunday through the school year. The starting salary is $18 perhour for a total of $36 per week.

The ideal candidates are Quakers or active attenders, are committed to nurturingQuaker children, and have experience working with children.

Has or will get background check•Experience with children or youth as a teacher or leader•Knowledgeable about and experience with Quakerism

Job Description

Each teacher will have one group of children and an assistant from the meeting.

We anticipate these approximate age groupings:3 - 6 year olds2nd - 5th graders (elementary school)6th - 8th graders (middle school)9th - 12th graders (high school)

Duties include•Prepare and teach a First Day School class each Sunday•

Actively engage with class from 9:45 am to 11:45 am•Prepare and settle children to join the meeting for worship•Attend meeting for worship with the children and the community•Supervise play period

A typical morning is• 9:45- 10am

Children arrive•10 - 10:35-ish

Class•10:35-ish Prepare and settle children to enter and join the meeting for worship for the final 15-20 minutes of worship•11am

At the rise of meeting for worship, stay with the children and communityduring refreshments•

11:15 - 11:45am Supervise play•

11:45am Forum session ends and parents will retrieve their children

Transportation may be available from nearby public transportation.
