I love connections. Where I work, we have had a new FedEx Ground driver who I have been getting to know over the last couple months. We have found that we have a wonderful connection and always enjoy our short conversations when he comes by. He lives near where I minister in the city and we plan to get together outside of work for discussion and fellowship. I love that you and I can interact with dozens if not more people in a day, yet find one person in that crowd where there is that deep connection. So much of what happens in this world is unseen, but I love when that which is unseen surfaces and with a smile you find that there is a deep connection between you and another human being. I have had that kind of connection with my long-time best friend (who is now my wife) and a couple others, but it is surprising and fun when it pops up unexpectedly at work or otherwise out in the world. Today I am happy for connections.
