This year's presenter/resource person is Bill Deutsch. He'll be speaking on "Living with Gratitude."
No fees are established, though donations are encouraged. There will be a young Friends' program, organized by Junior Yearly Meeting and others.
Bill lives near Decorah, Iowa with his family on a small farm where they grow and sell cut flowers, and practice many homesteading skills. He served Iowa Yearly Meeting for almost ten years as Clerk, and provided programming for Junior Yearly Meeting for nearly that long.
Bill also served for six years on the FRIENDS JOURNAL governing board. Having recently earned an MSW, Bill currently provides therapeutic counseling services to Latinos in 7 counties in northeast Iowa, and in
Marshalltown. He and his family are members of Decorah Friends Meeting.
His most steady spiritual practice is in being grateful.
IYMC's Midyear Meeting takes place at Bear Creek Meeting outside of Des Moines, Iowa on a Saturday and Sunday.
