Event Description

Even as we live and participate in a time of powerful worldwide change, we are invited to let our lives witness to a Love that is eternal. For this day-long workshop, we will gather as Friends from diverse communities to consider our faith journeys, our discernment of vocation, and our journeys among Friends, in whatever place we may find ourselves. Together we’’ll consider the challenges and gives of being part of the Quaker movement in this ““season””of our 350+ year voyage, what new edges we are encountering, what support we need from one another as we seek to be faithful, what we have to offer to the present and future of Quakerism, and what Love might require of us in this season of our corporate life.

Noah Baker Merrill, a member of Putney Friends Meeting in Vermont, travels widely in the ministry among Friends and elsewhere. In this service, he regularly offers vocal ministry at Friends’’ gatherings and beyond; leads workshops on diverse topics including spiritual activism, Quaker worship, and traveling ministry; and participates with others in Love’’s invitation toward the integration of worship and witness.
