Event Description

Many Quakers throughout our history have shared their experience of Christ as the Inward Teacher. But Jesus’ teaching and Jesus' presence among us can sometimes seem overshadowed by a fundamentalist view that many of us find threatening and repressive.

At our next Quarterly Meeting you will have an opportunity to hear from some Young Adult Friends who will talk about Christ from their Quaker perspective. Is it possible that the Inward Teacher can lead us into a deeper spiritual place that brings us closer to one another in our Meetings and provides an impetus to heal our broken world?

Come hear Young Adult Friends: Eli Blood-Patterson, Colin Bussiere-Nichols, Eileen Kinch and Lane Taylor share with us on this experience and participate in the discussion which will follow.

The day begins with Business and Worship at Middletown Monthly Meeting

8:15 Sign in; meeting for worship for business begins at 8:30.
10:00 Panel Presentation with Discussion to follow
Children’s program-all ages-see below
11:00 Meeting for Worship with Middletown Meeting

Hi Joseph: agreed, I only heard about it this afternoon when someone thought to forward me an email. I'm kind of annoyed that these things don't get more widely disseminated.
