Event Description

The Peace Cup Tournament, is a community mobilisation initiative targeting the 21 years war affected communities in Northern Uganda. The soccer tournament kicks off on the 1st of August 2010, and will have 6 districts participate e.g. Gulu, Oyam, Kitgum, Pader, Amur, and Lamwo targeting youth aged 15-23 years. Throughout the tournament communities will participate in reconciliation, forgiveness, tolerance and non-violence campaigns. The Finals will be played on the 21st of September the Global Peace Day.
