Primitive Christianity Revived, Again

We can all be Great.

My spouse and I have been fostering 1 child and mentoring another and have been blessed to have a community that has supported us.

But we get these comments like, "you are so great and She is so lucky to have you," which makes me think...we are NOT so great. No greater than anyone in this monthly or yearly meeting. So, I will be asking our Foster Agency and Court Appointed Special Advocates to speak at our second hour one day. I am starting to wish/hope that all our meetings will support orphans close to home that it will become like our Peace Testimony.

Comment by Isabel Penraeth on 7th mo. 8, 2010 at 4:50am: It is one of those strange things that people seem to forget the mutuality of relationship, that thee is as lucky to have her as vice versa. And that however great thee looks is only a reflection of that mutual relationship, and how great she is. As thee says, I think it is a great idea to "expose" people to the idea of fostering, so that it doesn't seem so foreign and something only other people do, and perhaps might plant the seed that is a possible, and then not only possible but Important. Thanks for sharing this personal testimony.
