According to Pink Dandelion, Quakers have resurrected the low-speed, two-lane, unlimited access road. Actually, he writes(in An Introduction To Quakerism): "...a Seeker C type...operate a doctrine of the 'absolute perhaps' and they operate it in a prescriptive way. In other words, these Friends are zealous, even fundamentalist, about their theological stance."

Thankfully, the way offered provides for the slow-moving plain-conservatives to enter the fray in one lane while the liberal-Liberals can pass on the outer lane of creedal belief/behavior. "Tsk, tsk" comes from those in the inner lane, and "Later, losers" from the outer.

All that's important is that there is unlimited access to the adventure. Or, again as the P.D. would have it: "Its meaning('that of God in everyone'), what the 'that', the 'God', and 'everyone' means, nevertheless remains individual." Just like the civilized-world's single-passenger transportation system and song(In cars, da na).

So much for the "counter-cultural aesthetic impulse in everyday Quaker life"(P.J.Collins, 1996).
