The 1815 Edition of 'A Guide to True Peace' Now Available

Good Morning Friends:

I have finally published a reissue of the 1815 Edition of 'A Guide to True Peace'.  It is now available at Amazon for $8.00.

This is a resetting of the 1815 Edition, which is the edition that all subsequent editions are based on.  Each subsequent edition has made some changes.  Most of them are minor, but a few are significant.  I have reset the 1815 edition without changing the original text: that is to say the vocabulary and sentence structure are as the original was written.  The 'Guide' is easily accessible and the work itself has a flowing, river-like quality which has proven engaging for 200 years.

The only change I made was that instead of footnoting biblical references at the bottom of the page I incorporated them into the body of the text, which is the procedure most subsequent editions followed.  I also added a few biblical references that subsequent editions added; but I indicated they were not in the original 1815 edition by placing these additional biblical references in distinctive brackets:{ }.  I also dropped the use of roman numerals for biblical citations, using the method that is standard these days.

Other than those changes to the biblical references, this is a replication of the 1815 edition of the 'Guide'.

Best wishes,

Jim
