Become a key member of an international solidarity organization based in St. Petersburg, Florida and Managua, Nicaragua.  ProNica was founded by Quakers in 1986 with the underlying premise that people in marginalized communities understand their own realities and are in the best position to innovate their own solutions. We partner with grassroots Nicaraguan-led organizations with emphasis on community cohesiveness, economic development, health, education, agriculture and women’s empowerment.  

Job Summary

ProNica seeks a part-time Development Associate (12 hours per week) in the St. Petersburg, Florida office. The Development Associate will perform fundraising duties and provide general support to the organization (including data management, direct mail outreach, board development, donor cultivation, special events coordination, light bookkeeping, administration and other duties as assigned). 

Requirements

• Commitment to and passion for the mission of ProNica
• Ability to develop and generate enthusiasm for fundraising in the board, staff, donors and volunteers
• Can-do attitude with ability to prioritize multiple projects and details
• Experience managing a donor database
• Spanish proficiency is strongly preferred
• Compatibility with Quaker values that define the work of ProNica, including commitment to non-violence, equality, peace, and social justice and belief in the intrinsic worth of every individual
