I would like to encourage people to give a monthly donation to Quakerquaker.  I believe this site is a significant forum for discussion and communication among Quakers of all types. 

I would also like to suggest that people consider having their Monthly Meeting make a yearly contribution to Quakerquaker.  Many Monthly Meetings contribute to Quaker organizations like FCNL and AFSC.  I believe that Quakerquaker is as significant as those organizations and would like to see it supported at the Monthly Meeting level.

Well.... I have a big collection of an assortment of odd and often old Quaker books.  Oddly enough, random visitors are not enthralled with the occasional thrilling passage I might wish to share with them from my treasure of Quakerdom related literature.  So, my only chance of getting an audience is here!  And I seek to learn from others of what they may have discovered from their own reading, inner work, conferences, experiences etc.  Often I end up all a-fluster and discouraged, since this isn't meeting and this isn't spiritual nourishment but I am without any sort of community or support in my life so this is all I have, and much of the stuff brings me to a barren intellectual place with impossible questions without answers.  I am on the verge of stopping calling myself Quaker or Friend altogether,  and perhaps I will sell or donate my collection, but at least I can share some of it along with my random pseudo-leadings and various other despairs.

Thanks Barbara.    There's a short story called "The Machine" written in the early 1900s  about a society where people were completely isolated and only communicated via a Machine, that clearly resembled the Internet. I  appreciate the kindnesses one can find online,  I guess there is something organic in me that doesn't feel right without human presence.  So, what I am saying is, I use this site to share information that may or may not be relevant,  and however  G-d deals with me now, I don't care,  as G-d doesn't need the Religious Society of Friends to get things done,  however much my long emotional attachment to this manifestation of G-d 's work on earth has always meant to me.    .   However, I tend to go astray, and this isn't the question Martin asked so I will leave off, just thought I'd clarify and will leave this topic so Martin may gather the information he was looking for.   .   .

I use QQ in two ways: (1) I check it every few days to find new blog posts and discussions or comments on existing ones; (2) I post blogs and discussions.

Under the second category I also post excerpts from Quaker Universalist Conversations, the blog which I edit for the Quaker Universalist Fellowship.  When Friends respond here or on the QUC blog, I welcome the ongoing discussions.

I also make an automatic monthly donation to QQ.
