Doug Gwyn, author of several books on the theology of early Friends including Apocalypse of the Word, and Conversation with Christ, is currently writing and teaching at Pendle Hill outside of Philadelphia.  I caught up with him to discuss the history of Friends and social justice.  What was it that made Friends so radical in England during the 1650s?  How did circumstance and personality shape the movement?  And what can we learn from early Friends' missteps?  Fifteen minutes of pure brilliance.
