Sung to the tune of Abide With Me

Meter 10.10.10.10

See Psalm 139:13-16

For it was you who formed my inward being;

You knit together life and parts unseen.

I praise you for I’m wonderfully thine;

Awesome your handiwork, O God, divine!

My body was not hidden from your sight

When I was crafted in your secret light.

Known to you well was I before my birth;

Woven in darkness from the depths of earth.

Your eyes saw me through darkness into light;

My days were counted plainly in your sight.

Who like yourself, Creator God, can see?

I praise and thank you for creating me.

Words: H. Wayne Williams, 2011

Music: William H. Monk, Hymns Ancient and Modern, 1861
