I call for a Sunny Fund.  The fund's goal is to inhibit climate change through product innovation.

In the 1950s the purpose of the March of Dimes was to end polio.  They funded the Salk vaccine, then the Sabin vaccine.  Then they declared victory over polio and moved on.

I know of a number of tinkerers in the U.S., all underfunded or self-funded, who do good work.  I want them funded and better organized.

At the FGC gathering in River Falls a lone engineer set up his prototype transit system in a parking lot. I think that he was on the right track in a number of ways.

I know of an engineer in Missouri who has redesigned tractors for smaller farmers in developing nations.  He has a workshop full of people.

In Worcester, Jonathan Ricker of MassMegawatts.com comes up with groundbreaking innovations.  He's going broke.

There's me.  I prototype my own solar innovations.

I see 100 struggling inventors out here.  If half of them were funded we would be cleaning up climate change far faster than at present.  That's why we need a Sunny Fund.
