I am currently leading a 4 week series of discussions on "Quaker Theology". There has been a positive response to this discussion. By the way we do not all agree, Surprise! Surprise!
Topics Have been Central Belief (Inward Light), Authority (Scriptures, Spirit, Reason, and Tradition) I usually quote my father on this topic. If we hold any of these to be "infallible" as an authority we usually end up in trouble. The thrid topic was Gospel order How we function as an "organization"/community. next week we will be discussing "Christ" and the evolution of Quaker Diversity.
It is very important that we have these discussions often in our Society if for no other reason than to keep us on our toes. Being on your toes gives balance and allows adaptation to pressures. (Speaking as a former wrestler and wrestling coach)

They read Barclay??? WOW! I'm impressed!

uh...I'm not sure that at my meeting too many people would even know who Barclay is...

I was motivated to actually send out invites after reading this thread on Belief-o-Matic on the JesusRadicals forum (I posted a response at the end). We have people taking this quiz, getting "Quaker" as a result, checking Barclay to confirm and wondering where to go next. A lot of meetings wouldn't know what to do with them. Some find QuakerQuaker. What do we tell them?
